Wisemen Still Seek Him
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wisemen came to adore the new-born king and brought Him gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matt. 2:11). The wise prophet, Prophet Isaiah prophesied His coming (Isa. 9:6). With wisdom, Mary received the message of the angel. It took the wisdom of God for Mary to keep herself pure before God by maintaining her virginity, and Joseph acted wisely with the help of God to steer clear of having any carnal knowledge of his wife, Mary. He acted wisely by refusing to put Mary to shame through divorce. Also, he was wise enough to follow the instructions of God to move away from the killer king, Herod.
When Jesus began His ministry, those who sought Him were wise enough to know that their encounter with Him would bring positive changes in their life. The leper sough Him and was cleansed (Matt. 8:3); the woman with the issue of blood sought Him and was healed (Luke 8:43-48); the lame sought Him and walked (Matt. 9: 1-8); and with wisdom, two blind men sought Him and received their sight (Matt. 9:27-30).
Wisdom is power, and all power in heaven and earth have been given to Jesus Christ. To seek and follow Him, you must be wise. A wise believer is Spirit-filled. Be wise. Seek Jesus! Merry Christmas to you all.
